About Glenn

I’m a partner at GGV Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in the U.S. and China.

Since joining GGV Capital in 2006, I’ve worked with amazing entrepreneurs and leaders at companies where I’ve led GGV’s investments such as Zendesk (NYSE: ZEN), Square (NYSE: SQ), Pandora (NYSE: P), Successfactors (NYSE: SFSF/Acq by SAP), Isilon (NASDAQ: ISLN/Acq by EMC), Nimble Storage (NYSE: NMBL), Quinstreet (NASDAQ: QNST), Slack, AirBnBConvivaDomo, AlienVault, HashiCorp and Gridstore, helping the first six successfully navigate the initial public offering process. At GGV we work as a close-knit team, and my partners have been very supportive on these investments.  Similarly, I assist my partners on other GGV investments including AppirioBlueKai (acquired by Oracle), Buddy Media (acquired by Salesforce.com), China Talent Group (CTG), FlightCarMediaV, Tujia and Qunar.  I focus on enterprise software-as-a-service (Saas), cloud infrastructure, including security, storage and data center automation, and mobile.  The Forbes Midas list has recognized my work since 2009.

Prior to GGV, I was a General Partner with Partech International, where I led investments in Broadbase Software (acquired by Kana), Datacenter Technologies (acquired by Veritas/Symantec), Digital Island (acquired by Cable & Wireless), Pentasafe (acquired by NetIQ) and Vignette (NASDAQ:VIGN).  Earlier in my career, I worked with Goldman Sachs and also with SPO Partners, a San Francisco-based private investment partnership.  I graduated from Stanford University, where I majored in tennis, starting on three NCAA championship tennis teams, and I also earned an M.B.A from Stanford where I was an Arjay Miller Scholar.  I co-founded and remain active with The Spotlight Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to funding social entrepreneurs focused on education, and I serve on the board of Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Bay Area.
