About Glenn

I’m a partner at GGV Capital, a global venture capital firm that invests in local founders.

Since joining GGV Capital in 2006, I’ve worked with amazing entrepreneurs and leaders at companies where I’ve led GGV’s investments such as Slack (NYSE: WORK), Zendesk (NYSE: ZEN), Square (NYSE: SQ), Pandora (NYSE: P), Successfactors (NYSE: SFSF/Acq by SAP), Domo (NYSE: DOMO), Isilon (NASDAQ: ISLN/Acq by EMC), Nimble Storage (NYSE: NMBL), Quinstreet (NASDAQ: QNST),  AirBnBAlienVault, BitSight, Coder, Conviva, Crosschq, HashiCorp, Kong, Yonder (fka New Knowledge), NS1, Nozomi Networks, Opendoor, Restless Bandit, Unravel Data, Synack, Tray.io, VDOO and Zebrium, helping the first eight successfully navigate the initial public offering process. At GGV we work as a close-knit team, and my partners have been very supportive on these investments.  I focus on enterprise and cloud infrastructure, including security, developer tools, commercial open source, devops automation, application monitoring and optimization, as well as software-as-a-service (Saas) business applications.  The Forbes Midas list has recognized my work several times since 2009.

Prior to GGV, I was a General Partner with Partech International, where I led investments in Broadbase Software (acquired by Kana), Datacenter Technologies (acquired by Veritas/Symantec), Digital Island (acquired by Cable & Wireless), Pentasafe (acquired by NetIQ) and Vignette (NASDAQ:VIGN).  Earlier in my career, I worked with Goldman Sachs and also with SPO Partners, a San Francisco-based private investment partnership.  I graduated from Stanford University, where I majored in tennis, starting on three NCAA championship tennis teams, and I also earned an M.B.A from Stanford where I was an Arjay Miller Scholar.  I co-founded and remain active with The Spotlight Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to funding social entrepreneurs focused on education.
